About Us
“SOL-PADDLE,” is a collection of (808) uniquely generated Canoe Paddle Design NFTs on the Solana Blockchain. The (808) Canoe Paddle Designs help make up a part of a community to help promote a healthy lifestyle, through canoe building, paddle making, Hawaiian education and sustainability of our native Hawaiian lands. Our Canoe Paddle Designs are known for being fun, creative and cultural. Members of the” One Paddle, One Canoe,” community will help put a canoe paddle in our keiki’s, children’s, hands and give them an opportunity to learn a great sport with discipline, tradition, legacy and lifestyle. We strive to help each child from various public paddling organization to have a paddle of their own and to be able to have an outlet to learn the values and culture from their organization. Many paddling organizations have little to no funding to support keiki in the paddling community because of the cost, the amount of work, insurance and liability. We hope to bridge this gap by also being able to purchase canoes for clubs to have, in order to continue to grow the sport and culture of canoe building and paddling. If we can start in a place that gives this opportunity for the growth digital currency, it will give a great chance to see a huge impact throughout the world.
Mission Statement
“SOL-PADDLE,” isn’t just an art piece that you can own it extends to the very root of Hawaiian culture in itself. We want to maintain and perpetuate Hawaiian culture through the fostering of national and international amateur sports competition; to expose children, men and women to Hawaiian watersports, education, arts and crafts and other activities; and to provide a means and facilities for activities tending to foster the development and maintenance of strong and healthy minds, bodies, and spirits among all people.
THE NFTs
Our NFT Design is a 3D design of a paddle integrated with scenery from various parts of Hawaii with our endemic side and most identifiable art of the state. If people cannot come to us, we can go to them. Today our worlds are completely intertwined with the metaverse and here you can own a piece of beautiful Hawaii. Each canoe paddle holder will support our cause in making sure that the art and craft of building canoes and paddles continue. We plan on a handful of giveaways from this project but most importantly, it will be documented and podcast which will be held monthly for updates, interviews and to track the progress. The Project 808 will be funding 40% of the Profits to RDRLS Hawaii Wa’a LLC. The Project 808 team will then be using 19% of funds back to our Dev Network Team and Artists. The remaining 31% will be put back into future NFT projects and help with other entrepreneur programs seeking assistance. We are also exposing talented artist and photographers within this “SOL-PADDLE,” project and supporting their efforts to bring their talent and skills to a profitable place as well. It is our goal to help other projects that could use start up support, whether it be web tech assistance, mentorship or education. Each Re-sale of the NFT, the percentages will remain the same.
WHAT IS RDRLS HAWAII WA’A LLC?!
We have partnered up with a small canoe club to help their vision come to fruition. RDRLS HAWAII WA’A LLC has a great mission when it comes to community.
RDRLS HAWAII WA'A LLC is a company that supports the development, training, education and culture of paddling and building canoes. The (RDRLS) abbreviated stands for "RUDDERLESS" which is also referred to as V1, VA'A, or Tahitian Canoe. The idea behind this company is to use the V1 as a tool to put paddlers in Hawaii back on a more competitive level, while learning the history and education of canoes.
A Portion of the proceeds will help fund a facility to build a canoe shed, and pavilion. This canoe shed will have the necessary tools to help children learn the art of canoe building, paddle making, rigging, and learning the canoe history and culture. It will also help this club have an apprenticeship program. These apprenticeship programs are great examples to promote great relationships with communities and family’s by having a place where this can be possible. The Pavilion will act as a classroom setting and hub to teach canoe paddling, other arts and crafts and to keep a growth of a legacy going. The water training pool will help test the floatation of made canoes as well as a training hub for young children. We can teach first aid, water rescue, and prepare children in smaller and more controllable environment.
This Place is located on a 2.3 Acre lot on the eastside of Oahu, Hawaii. It is family owned and well respected within the community. The goal is to ultimately be the crutch to make an education program for schools to be integrated within or used as a school facility in itself. The opportunity is endless. This can help a legacy continue while help with employment, community outreach, cultural empowerment and facilitate healthy living. It’s a great way to continue Hawaii’s meaning of “Aloha.”
Sidebar to this main project, our members offer many expertise and ability to educate in Hawaiian values, ethnic background and cultural practices. Becoming a member, we want to offer the opportunity to work in lo’i (Taro Patches), prepare traditional Hawaiian foods, such as Kalua pig, laulau, pa’i’ai, and other local foods. We want to teach about how to work from the mountain to the sea. We want to teach our youth values of respecting your elders, cleaning up after yourself and others, protocols for daily activities and/or events.
We want to provide an outlet for people to broaden their horizon to other community programs such and the coconut island preservation, Hoakalei Cultural Foundation, and our other ocean and beach clean-ups. This program will train our members about ocean safety, first aid, A.E.D., and any other resources we may be able to offer.
In the future we would like to keep developing apprentice canoe builders and obtain a warehouse to produce more local products and retail items for local Hawaii residents and community. This will help employ more Hawaii residents and generate business here locally on the islands. With your help this project will continue a legacy of canoe builders, inspire youth to practice their culture and be proud of their heritage, educate on canoe history, teach construction and skilled craftsmanship, teach health and wellness, be spiritually uplifting and provide the community with a functional place to use for future projects.
